Overload to Rock Crickets

June 29th, 2009 by admin

Hello again everybody. The boys are going to be heading south this weekend for a one night only show in Melbourne, at Crickets on Wickham Rd. just north of Eau Gallie Blvd., this Friday night at 9:00pm. This will be Overloads first appearance at Crickets. So, those of you living in the Melbourne area, this is your first chance to catch the band close to home. Overload is glad to be at Crickets this weekend. Overload Singer Allen LaShier has played there several times with his former band Hi-Dose. “….It is a great room with a great crowd. Jimmy (the owner) is a great great person, and I am honored that he has decided to put us in his club where so many other great bands in Brevard County have played. It is going to be a rockin time…” We hope that some of our loyal fans from Titusville will follow us down there this weekend. Well, that’s all for now. Come on out Melbourne, and “Get Loaded”!!! We’ll see ya at the show.

Thank You Titusville!!!

June 29th, 2009 by admin

Another great weekend in Titusville,FL. This past weekend Overload introduced two new members to the band, Scot Colburn (Rhythm Guitar), and Shawn Lowe (Drums). And from the responses we received from the crowd, it was a very good addition. The boys had a blast, as they always do at the Sports Edge. We also would like to thank Eddie and his crew for having us, and allowing us to have the Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit for Amy Valentine. Also a huge thanks goes out to, The Seeds, Seace Fire, and Invisible Ink, for joining together with Overload for such a worthy cause. We would also like to thank all the local businesses that donated merchandise, and gift certificates, such as Bizzaro’s in Merritt Island, Schenck Company (Miller Lite…our sponsor), Grills Tiki Bar in Port Canaveral,Note Worthy Music in Titusville, and many, many more. We managed to raise just over $1500.00 for Mark and Amy. They were both just taken away by the support that was shown from the bands and fans that donated time and money to help them in their time of need. Amy and Mark were both moved to the point of tears at the love that we all showed for them. Thank you all again for your support. Rick and Jackie really showed a lot of love and support, as they donated over $500.00 themselves. You guys are awesome!!! Overload will continue to try to raise money for Amy and Mark. The boys have agreed to put out a donation jar for donations to go to Amy to aid her in her continued fight against breast Cancer. We love you Amy!!!! Thanks again everybody.

Overload to do benefit for Breast Cancer Awareness June 28th

June 22nd, 2009 by admin

Hey everybody, in case you haven’t heard, the boys from Overload, with some help from 3 other bands will be doing a benefit for Breast Cancer Awareness to help out a very dear friend. Amy Valentine was diagnosed with breast cancer some time ago. Amy’s husband Mark has been the lighting Tech for Overload on and off for the last 6 years. He does a great job for the guys and now the guys want to give back to Mark and Amy for the countless hours that they have been there for Overload.

It is hard enough to pay for Dr.’s and medications these days, but to do it without insurance is impossible. We need as many people to come out and help out one of your own in their time of need. Keith Maples, lead guitarist from Overload, and Allen LaShier, lead singer from Overload (mostly Keith Maples) have been going out and meeting with local businesses, getting donations for raffles and giveaways to raise money for this worthy cause. Our goal is $10,000.00. I know it seems like a lot of money, but when you look at how much Amy will need to get back to her old self, it doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. I know if we all pull together, we can make this happen.

Other entertainers donating their time for this worthy cause is “The SEEDS”, ”Cease Fire”, and the orginal sounds of “Iinvisible Ink”. So, come on out everybody and show your support everybody and have a great time doing it. I know we can reach our goal if we just join together and give from our hearts. You never know when you may find yourself in a similar situation, and need your community to give you a helping hand. We’ll see you at the show.

Overload Welcomes Scot Colburn

June 19th, 2009 by admin

We would just like to take this time to welcome a new addition to the Overload line up. As of Wed. June 17th, Overload took on rhythm guitarist Scot Colburn. Scot brings a nice new flavor to the band. He has incredible high end harmonies, and is a very solid RhythmGuitar player. The rest of the guys are excited to have him on board. “He brings all the hi end harmonies that we lost with Dave leaving, and brings a lot more to the table not only vocally, but he also fills the instrumental side of things as well with his solid guitar playing.” says Overload front man Allen LaShier. Lead Guitarist Keith Maples said”….I knew he was going to be a great fit for the band as soon as I talked to him on the phone….” Scot will make his debut with Overload on Friday June 26th at the Sports Edge along with new drummer Shawn Lowe. If you liked Overload before, you are gonna love them now. Bass player AJ Seifreit said”….I think we found our Missing Links with Shawn and Scot. It’s Fucking Awesome!!” So, make sure you get out to the Sports Edge to check out the new guys. See you at the show

Not to worry though, we will be back soon. JR Murnane, unfortunately is no longer with the band due to unforeseen reasons. He will be missed on the stage, but the show must go on. Maybe we can get him out to some shows to sit in with the boys. Replacing JR is AJ Seifreit. He has some big shoes to fill, but he does KICK ASS!!!! He brings a new flavor to the band, and we are glad to have him on board. Keep watching for future Sports Edge dates. We’ll see ya at the show.

We always have new Miller Lite merchandise to give away, and once and a while we may even buy some lucky Miller Lite drinker an ice cold Lite.
