July 26th, 2010 by admin

This coming Sunday, August 1, 2010, Overload will be headlining the benefit to raise money to help our dear friend Ed Davidson, who was diagnosed with Cancer. There will be a 50/50 drawing, raffles for some really cool stuff, including a guitar or two, and much more not to mention, Great Rock and Roll from Brevard County’s best bands. As listed in a previous blog, the party will get started at 1:00pm and will go til whenever.

Her is the list of Bands and the times they will go on.

The Seeds-1:00

Flux-         2:30

Dirty Chucks-4:00

Sease Fire-5:30

Overload-7:00

Be sure to tell all your friends to come out and be part of the biggest rock show of the year and open up their wallets and give from the heart. It promises to be a show like no other. Start times may vary depending on how long it takes bands to get their equipment on and off the stage.

Also there is a comedian, Jarred Adkins that will be performing as well. We are not sure what time he will be going on yet. He has promised to be there, and we will get him on just as soon as he is able to get there. This guy is extremely funny. However, I must warn you, he is not the most politically correct comedian you’ve ever seen. His act may be considered offensive by some people, and may not be appropriate for children. But he is extremely funny!!!

So, we’ll see you at the Sports Edge located at 4702 S. Washington Ave. In Titusville, FL. Feel free to call the Sports edge with any questions about the benefit at (321) 269-4772, as we are still accepting items to be auctioned off the day of the show. Hope to see you all there giving Ed the support that he so desperately needs. We’ll see you at the show.

Overload

Finally!!!

July 6th, 2010 by admin

Well, it only took 8 months, but all the members are in place. We talked to Keith Maples and Allen LaShier over the holiday weekend and they have released the names of the members of Overload. A.J. Seifriet is returning as the Bassist, Bruce Vandegriek on Drums, Christian Storm on Guitar and Keyboards. Of course you still have Keith Maples on Lead Guitar and Allen LaShier on Lead Vocals. And there you have it. The new Overload Line Up.

We asked the guys if we could expect a different sound than we all love so much. Allen LaShier had this to say, “…We still are doing a lot of the songs that everybody is use to hearing us do, but we also have added some new material that I’m sure everybody will love as well.” A.J. will also be singing lead on a couple of songs as well as Bruce, to give Allen a break here and there. ” We are also currently working on some originals to throw in there” said Overload front man Allen LaShier.

You will be able to see the guys live on stage again on Sunday August 1, 2010, when they headline a benefit to raise money for long time friend, Ed Davidson, who was diagnosed with Cancer. Keep looking here at overloadband.com for updates on what time the show starts and what bands will be playing, as well as what items will be available for auction. Official bands and times will be posted here and spacecoastlive.com next week.

Overload frontman hit by Cancer

April 8th, 2010 by admin

Overload front man Allen LaShier was diagnosed with stage 4 Follicular Center Cell Lymphoma last month. This is cancer of the lymph nodes. Lymph Nodes are located all throughout your body that releases white blood cells to fight off infection and disease. Allen, as you can imagine was taken back a little by the diagnosis, but remains in good spirits. We asked Allen what this means for Overload. “….we are still working on getting the show perfected. We have made a couple personnel changed and we are changing the set list to accommodate more people…” Please keep Allen and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Allen has no plans at this time to leave the band. “….my doctor told me to take it easy and relax. He said as long as I don’t come into direct contact with somebody that is sick with a cold or flu, I could continue to play music as long as I have the energy and feel up to it.” Allen is currently going through chemo therapy. Not to worry though, he said he will not loose his hair any quicker than he already is…LOL. The prognosis is very good for Allen. There is a remit ion rate of 85%, and 90% chance that it may not return. “This type of cancer isn’t curable, but it is treatable…. I am very confident in my Dr.’s and staff that I will survive this. I am looking forward to getting back on stage as soon as possible.” The guys are still shopping for a new booking agent and will hopefully be out on the road in late April early May. Keep checking here for upcoming tour dates, and news on your favorite band. Keep rockin, and remember to keep Allen in your prayers. We’ll see ya at the show.

There has been a couple of personel changes, we will fill you in before the next show who they are. I mean we needed a break, but it’s been almost five months!! It’s time to get back where we belong.” Overload played their last show at Sports Edge, in Titusville, FL on October 30th, 2009.

The boys are working with their agent to put together some tour dates. Look here at overloadband.com for upcoming tour dates near you. The boys would also like to thank everyone for all the emails and letters they recieved while on their break. ” It really makes us feel good that people out there really want to see us again. November 23rd, 2009 by admin

I’m sure that a lot of you are wondering what is up with Overload. The boys have decieded to take a well deserved break. AJ Seifreit, and Keith Maples have been working with previous Overload drummer Dave Meder, and Overload Frontman Allen LaShier, has been taking it easy, just hanging out with his daughter. As for what the future holds for the boys from Overload still remains to be seen. We are sure that they will be back, but as to who the line up will consist, well, We will let you know as soon as we find out. Until then, keep on rockin, and be sure to continue to support the other local talent, like “Dirty Chucks”, “The Seeds”, “Sease Fire”, and all the others. We’ll see ya at the show.
